Florence And The Machine Announces New Album, Drops First Track + Video

Powerful singer/life goals Florence Welch of Florence and The Machine has ended her 4 year-long hiatus with the announcement of her new album, ‘How Big How Blue How Beautiful’. How fkn psyched.

Welch described the release as having a different tone to her 2011 album ‘Ceremonials, saying, “Ceremonials was so fixated on death and water, and the idea of
escape or transcendence through death, but the new album became about
trying to learn how live, and how to love in the world rather than
trying to escape from it. Which is frightening because I’m not hiding
behind anything but it felt like something I had to do.”

Florence and The Machine have kindly dropped the first track of the album, ‘What Kind of Man’, accompanied by a brooding, borderline NSFW video, which you can watch below. The album will be released in June 2015. Early contender for Splendour?

Looks like music in 2015 is off to a stellar start – take a look at the other albums we are actively preparing our bodies to deal with over here.
