Good news, Bachie fans – the long wait for Apollo Jackson‘s musical debut is almost over, with the man himself announcing that his new single is finally set to drop this month! We know very little about this sure-to-be banger so far, other than the fact that it’s called ‘With You‘, and it arrives on May 25 on the Hussle Recordings label, but we are absolutely, categorically behind it in every sense.
The magician and one-time Sophie Monk suitor told fans a bit about what to expect, saying:
“As you know the last few years of my life have been pretty crazy, and the one thing that’s kept me grounded is my music … so I’ve been writing a lot, but I haven’t shared it with anyone until now. I’m super excited to announce the pre-release of my single ‘With You’ – I wrote this from a pretty inspired headspace, I’d been through a really dark time, and it’s just about seeing life in a different way.”
COINCIDENTALLY, Apollo has a gig at the Greenwood Hotel on May 24, which is a day before the single arrives, so I DUNNO, BUT YOU MIGHT EVEN GET TO HAVE A SNEAKY LISTEN TO IT AHEAD OF TIME, WHO KNOWS?
I’m not sure what became of ‘Addiction‘, the Apollo single that was announced last year with this hectic cover art and then seemingly vanished without a trace, but whatever, I’ll still take this.
So what has Apollo been up to since his turn on Bachelor In Paradise, where his presence caused a brief but intense surge in our fair nation’s thirst levels? I’M GLAD YOU ASKED, since I’ve been low-key stalking him on social media for weeks, and I finally have a place to share this valuable information.
The aspiring actor, who was a body double for The Incredible Hulk in Thor: Ragnarok, and also appeared as an extra in the film, recently spent some time HANGING OUT at Supanova (if you see what I did there, which I suspect you do).
Earlier this week, he made his debut in the role he was born to play – the Tim Tam Genie. We don’t even need to make a Tim Tam slam joke because he already did that for us, but damn, Apollo as a magical, mystical granter of chocolate biscuit-based wishes is the most aggressively perfect casting I have ever seen and I am HERE. FOR. IT.
