WATCH: Jesinta Campbell Get Sweaty, Demonstrate Her Top 5 Ab Workouts

You don’t need us telling you Aussie babe Jesinta Campbell surpassed a ‘ten’ and hit  a very long time ago because, you’ve got eyes.
But what makes her the best possible pin-up for the wall facing your elliptical is how completely transparent she is about the hard work it takes to get that body.
The 24-year-old former Miss Australia and current missus of Swans star Buddy Franklin eliminated sugar and alcohol from her diet nine weeks before the David Jones SS15 show that left everyone talking about *those* abs.
JUST LOOK AT THEM.
Her next fitness challenge comes by way of Blackmores Sydney Running Festival, for which she’ll be slaying a half marathon as the September 20 event’s official ambassador.
Training for one of the hardest tests of physical endurance she’s ever attempted has been made that much easier by her newly-acquired six-pack, Jesinta tells us.
“I can get through exercises and feel really strong in my body and that’s the real practical side of it – a really strong core. It makes you feel stronger, stand taller, walk prouder – you hold yourself better. All those niggles in your back (gone!); it just makes everything operate a lot better in your body.”

TL;DR? All good, because she’s your personal trainer in this easy-as instructional video of her top ab workouts:
We also had a chinwag about #couplesworkouts with Buddy, the secrets to endurance training and what’s currently setting her iPod on fire:

PEDESTRIAN: Your boy Buddy is a professional athlete with mad skillz. Does he give you any fitness tips?

Jesinta: I give Lance more health and fitness tips than he gives me! [Laughs] Definitely when it comes to the nutrition side, I’ve probably imparted a bit more to him than he has to me. He works so, so hard for what he has, and he’s got this natural fitness and talent that is absolutely incredible.

I’ve run with him once – we were in France on holiday, and he’d had a bit of a break, and I’d been running for the whole two weeks we’d been there. And he was like “Do you want to go for a run, babe?” and I was very excited. I was thinking, “I’m really fit, I’ve been running for the past two weeks, you’ve been on off season, I’m going to kill it”. And we ran halfway down the hill and it was like there was a pair of rockets on his runners; he just took off. Watching him, it was just so effortless. He absolutely smoked me. So that’s the first and last time I’ll ever run with him!
You’re the face of this year’s Blackmores Sydney Running Festival. How are you prepping for it?
When I run, I build up so much more of an appetite, so I make sure I add more carbs into my diet so I have the fuel and energy to run those longer distances. I also think what you do pre and post run is very important and take supplements like powdered magnesium every single night. I find that I wake up feeling more refreshed the next day, and magnesium is a muscle relaxant as well – so I take that and the exercise multi, and eat a balanced diet.

I’ve also completely changed my training regime, so I’m increasing my long distance fitness and doing a lot of interval training which is great to get your fitness to peak levels. I did a beautiful 10K run over the weekend actually, around the Sydney Harbour, and it was just spectacular! I’ve got a great place to train and get ready for the big run, that’s for sure.
Long distance is a real test of endurance. What’s your best tip to stay motivated?

I’m going to be running the race with my personal trainer, but if I do run by myself I always create a playlist to stay motivated. Often we’ll think ‘oh it’s too cold or it’s too early’, and you don’t really want to get out of bed, so the first thing that I do is put on one of my playlists and I create a few that I can listen to throughout the week so I don’t get bored. They’re like, 2-hour long playlists!
What’s on these magical playlists?
I really love RnB. I’ve just downloaded Tyga’s new album, which I’m really, really enjoying. I love Drake’s; his new album is awesome. A bit of Beyoncé never goes astray either, a bit of ‘Run The World’, us girls! Her and Rihanna.
Any tips for people who have a keen desire to exercise, but are lazy?
Have all your training gear good to go at the end of your bed. Have your socks, your shoes, your iPod, even your water, ready to go so you’re not scrounging around before work at 6 or 7 in the morning trying to find stuff to go for your run. Make it as easy for yourself the night before. If you’re not organised, you definitely make excuses.
The Blackmores Sydney Running Festival is on Sunday, September 20th. Buy your race entry, here.
