‘The End Of The F***ing World’ Is Returning To Netflix For Season F***ing 2

In excellent news for fans of quaint, twee teen rom-coms interspersed with bloody violence, Netflix and Channel 4 have announced the renewal of surprise smash The End Of The F***ing World for a second season.

The show’s original network confirmed the news with a life-affirming GIF this morning.

The new instalment on the British saga will see stars Alex Lawther return as James, along with Jessica Barden as Alyssa.

That raises some interesting questions about the finality of the original series’ last scene, which very much suggested an end to someone’s world, but hey. Don’t look a gift show in the mouth.

Charlie Clovell, who penned all eight of the original series’ deliciously grim episodes, will also write the next instalment.

In a statement, Channel 4’s head of drama Beth Willis told Variety “Charlie’s witty, wonderful world is back, and we can’t wait to see where she takes it next.”

There’s no expected date for this one, but that just gives you plenty of time to dye your hair, go op-shopping, and utterly disrespect your naïve but very loving father.
