Emilia Clarke Says ‘GoT’ Ep 5 Is Even “Bigger” Than Ep 3 So Brace Yourselves

Let’s face it, every goddamn episode of Game of Thrones has been an absolute ordeal, but in the lead-up to the grand finale, it looks like the next few GoT episodes are going to be even more harrowing so Emilia Clarke has some advice for us.

During her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel’s show, Clarke revealed that “Episode five is bigger” than what we’ve already seen in Season 8 so you just know it’s gonna ‘yuge.

“Episode five is — I mean, four and five and six, they’re all insane, but like … find the biggest TV you can.”

As for the Battle of Winterfell ep, Clarke admitted that there were moments where she “was shaking and crying” while she watched.

“It was nuts. I mean, being in — what you saw was really what it was like shooting it,” she recalled. “You saw blood and mud and angry, screaming people. And then backstage there was blood and mud … and asleep people.”

Her co-star Maisie Williams recently discussed her role in the battle with Entertainment Weekly.

“It was so unbelievably exciting,” she said of finding out that she’d be the one to slay the Night King. “But I immediately thought that everybody would hate it; that Arya doesn’t deserve it. The hardest thing is in any series is when you build up a villain that’s so impossible to defeat and then you defeat them.”

She adds, “It has to be intelligently done because otherwise people are like, ‘Well, [the villain] couldn’t have been that bad when some 100-pound girl comes in and stabs him.’ You gotta make it cool. And then I told my boyfriend and he was like, ‘Mmm, should be Jon [Snow] though really, shouldn’t it?’”

Welp, Arya’s performance was enough to make Emilia Clarke, the IRL Mother of Dragons, shake and cry so I reckon they went down the right road.
