It is incredibly, awfully close to the release of Avengers: Infinity War, and Marvel Studios are keeping plot details more tightly wrapped up than most Government secrets.
The process of keeping the film a mystery not only to fans, but to most media and industry figures is reportedly one that’s borderline militaristic in its planning and execution; with meticulously controlled clips and teasers the only footage to have been allowed into public eyes.
In fact, the campaign against plot spoilers is so tight that the film will only be shown in full for the very first time at its official world premiere just prior to global release; there’s no media or special preview screenings for this one. Everyone gets to see it at practically the same time as everyone else.
But the plan to control spoilers doesn’t end the moment the film hits cinemas worldwide; directors the Russo Brothers have extended a plea to fans to help keep the dream alive for those who aren’t able to immediately drop what they’re doing to go see it.
The brothers, Joe and Anthony, issued a call to arms via the hand – or gauntlet, if you will – of Thanos for punters to keep their lips zipped if they happen to see the flick before their mates or co-workers, in order to allow everyone the magic of seeing the film with totally fresh eyes.
The lads penned a letter, posted to Twitter overnight, that says as much.

To the greatest fans in the world,
We’re about to embark on the Avengers: Infinity War press tour. We will be visiting fans all over the world screening only a limited amount of selected footage from the film in order to avoid spoiling the story for future viewers.
We will not screen the film in its entirety until the Los Angeles premiere shortly before the film’s global release. Everyone involved with the film has worked incredibly hard for the past two years maintaining the highest level of secrecy. Only a handful of people know the film’s true plot.
We’re asking that when you see Infinity War, in the coming months, that you maintain that same level of secrecy so that all fans can have an equal experience when they watch it for the first time. Don’t spoil it for others, the same way you wouldn’t want it spoiled for you.
