Will Ferrell Plays Every Position In The First Teaser For ‘Ferrell Takes The Field’

If there’s one thing you absolutely cannot do, it’s fault the work ethic on display here.

Back in early March you might recall that Will Ferrell took on the somewhat Herculean task of playing for ten different Major League Baseball teams within the same day. The task was completed due to the conveniently close proximity of five separate pre-season games in Phoenix, but the task remained no less intimidating.
Not only that, but Ferrell managed to play in each position on the baseball field throughout his brief but prolific journeyman pro-ball career.
The exercise was done for an HBO comedy/documentary that followed Ferrell throughout the day, and now is set to hit screens in September.
Ferrell Takes The Field follows Will as he bounces, flies, and gets traded time and time again from the Oakland Athletics, to the Seattle Mariners, to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, to the Chicago Cubs, to the Arizona Diamondbacks, to the Cincinnati Reds, to the Chicago White Sox, to the San Francisco Giants, to the Los Angeles Dodgers, before winding his brief but storied career up with the San Diego Padres.
The first teaser for the “documentary” has dropped, and it looks like the sports film of all of your dreams. Triumph over adversity! The unlikeliest of champions! Victory against insurmountable odds!

Ferrell Takes The Field hits screens on September 12th.
