Will Ferrell Hospitalised After Car Accident On California Freeway

Actor and comedian Will Ferrell was hospitalised overnight, when his SUV overturned after being struck by another vehicle on a freeway in Orange CountyCalifornia.

Ferrell was a passenger in the vehicle, and according to a statement from his representatives, was “unhurt” in the accident and has since been released from hospital.

United Talent Agency:

“While traveling back to Los Angeles after hosting a voter registration event in San Diego, a car carrying Will Ferrell and three of his colleagues was struck on the freeway by another vehicle.”

His driver Mark Thompson and another passenger remain in stable condition in hospital, and according to UTA, Ferrell is:

“… staying close by as his friends are being treated, and has expressed his deep gratitude to the first responders who were immediately at the scene and to the hospital team that took such great care of them.”

Prior to the accident, Will Ferrell has appeared as his Anchorman character Ron Burgundy at Glam Up The Midterms, a Funny Or Die event in San DiegoBilly Eichner was the host of the evening.

He is said to be “grateful for all the well wishes he and his friends are receiving.”
