The annual fiesta of returning students, nervous new faces, and extracurricular everythings is a grand tradition among Australian tertiary student bodies, and the opportunity to get involved with various uni societies is in full effect.
And, sure. You could join the chess society for the friendly competition and intellectual stimulation. Sure, you could hook up with the sci-fi society and get your nerd on. Hell, you could even get on board with the law society just for the raging parties they tend to throw (seriously, holy shit).
But why on earth would you do any of those things, when you can muzz away the semesters instead?
