Here’s a rundown of the press Seth Rogen’s upcoming animated romp Sausage Party has received:
- First, the world was gifted with a cutesy teaser showing a stack of snags a-wigglin’ and a-wobblin’. Cheeky! Risqué, even.
- Then, the full trailer dropped, and it rivaled Saving Private Ryan for its utterly depraved and brutal depiction of violence.
- Some poor git saw it fit to throw that trailer in front of an audience awaiting Finding Dory, and chaos, understandably, ensued.
Now, to really hammer home the point this flick is not intended for the young guns, a no-holds-barred trailer has emerged from the pantry in all of its sweary wonderment.
It only hints at the film’s grander message and honest-to-God religious / existential allusions, but it more than makes up for it with some wanton cussin’.
Featuring none other than Kristen Wiig, James Franco, Michael Cera, Bill Hader, Danny McBride, Edward Norton and Salma Hayek, the film drops in a couple of weeks.
That’s just long enough to forget about the poor, poor dunny roll. Watch:
