Like everyone else, Stephen Colbert came away from the Breaking Bad finale completely satisfied, yet still dying for more from what will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the best television shows of all time.
Colbert, though, had a neat idea to chase away the post Breaking Bad blues – kidnap show creator and head writer Vince Gilligan, chain him up in the basement and make him cook up more episodes, Jesse-and-the-Nazis style. Unfortunately for Gilligan, Walter White and his robot car boot machine gun didn’t turn up to save the day, so he’s stuck down there, doomed to churn out increasingly far-fetched and unnecessary storylines for all eternity.
