Watch: Rose Byrne’s NSFW Music Videos

Back when Hollywood first transformed from a loose collection of alleged Communists into a mainstream, all-American entertainment business, movie marketing budgets probably consisted of things like billboard advertisements and newspaper spots. Now, thanks to something called the internet, studios have to allocate a portion of their budget for musicians to write original joke songs for comedies, then film accompanying music videos for said joke songs in the hopes of viral promotion and in turn greater returns at the box office. We’re not saying this is good or bad. It’s just the way things are in 2010.

A few weeks ago for example, we wrote about the delightfully titled “Supertight”, an aggressively sexual pop number by pop starlet Jackie Q, the character Rose Byrne plays in her new comedy Get Him To The Greek. Aside from just acting the part, Byrne also recorded the vocals herself and stars in two new music videos that presented themselves to the web overnight. In them Byrne basically presents herself to my eyeballs with two music videos that are so stupidly sexual, both lyrically and visually, I’m genuinely scared for parents of young children. I know, I know. It’s a satirical indictment of over sexed pop music but sill, wash your mouth out with soap Rose Byrne. The first is for the aforementioned “Supertight” and the second is for the decidedly less subtle “Ring Round” which is not a reference to J.R.R. Tolkien, the sound a telephone makes or matrimony.

Warning the audio is very NSFW so unless you’re workplace condones F-Bombs and thinly veiled phallic metaphors, don some headphones.
