Directed by Anton Corbjin (The American and Control), the latest John Le Carré adaptation A Most Wanted Man features Philip Seymour Hoffman in his final starring role as a German intelligence agent at the centre of “a cerebral tale of intrigue” and alongside a brilliant cast that also includes Robin Wright, Rachel McAdams and Willem Dafoe.
The slow-burn thriller, which premiered a few months ago at Sundance, has garnered rave reviews for Hoffman’s penultimate performance as a spy who uses a young lawyer (McAdams) for a human rights group harbouring a mysterious client as bait to trap an Islamist terrorist with Chechen connections. A Most Wanted Man is Hoffman’s penultimate role in addition to his supporting part in the Hunger Games finale, and is slated to bow July 25th.
