Four People Questioned In Relation To Death Of Philip Seymour Hoffman

Just days after the heartbreaking news that Philip Seymour Hoffman had been found dead, CNN are reporting that four people have been taken into custody and questioned over the drugs found in the West Village apartment at the time of his death. Their source was identified as ‘unidentified law enforcement officials’ i.e. police snitch.

A spokesman for the New York Police Department later told Reuters, who were following up the report, that narcotics had been recovered in the service of a search warrant but would not confirm whether the arrests were connected to the heroin allegedly involved in Hoffman’s death, as the CNN report had indicated.

After some particularly nasty and exploitative coverage from certain quarters and some general misunderstanding of drug addiction, it would certainly be a positive from something so horrible if those found responsible for circulating heroin were off the street. Otherwise, the tributes by those who knew and loved Hoffman continue to be a celebration of his incredible life and work.
