After euthanizing Luck last week, HBO can now focus on its supernatural cash cow True Blood which returns in winter for its fifth season, its last with Alan Ball as showrunner (read our interview with him here). In anticipation of its return, the network has released three new teasers which walk us through prominent Bon Temps locations – Bill’s mansion (with creepy slave dungeon), Fangtasia (also with slave dungeon), and Sookie’s house – as dialogue from seasons past ghost in and out of earshot.
Sadly, there’s no look at the ‘incredibly powerful’ vampire played by career tough guy and season five big bad Christopher Meloni, aka Detective Stabler from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, but it’s a concise little primer for those who’ve forgotten who’s died over the last four seasons.
Also, can we agree that wealthy Southern vampires make for the best interior decorators?
