WATCH: Mike From ‘Married’ Finally Spilled On His Secret Stripping Career

Last week, we gave you the lowdown on Michael – the Married At First Sightcontestant who has been labelled “Australia’s Pickiest Man” for his next level requirements for his future partner.
What ensued was a pretty wild turn of events, with Michael initially not seeming to have a bar of his future bride, Scarlett, clashing with his future mother in-law, and failing to tell his now-wife that he is actually a stripper (originally he said he did a standard 9 to 5 job, but with “different hours”).

As we expected, the shit did indeed hit the fan this evening when Michael finally decided to tell Scarlett what his real job is – but, as relationships are wont to do, the reaction was an unpredictable one.
It all managed to explode on their honeymoon, which is a pretty sad time. After knowing each other for one day, they went to Kakadu – seemingly looking at kangaroos, riding helicopters, and having a lot of breakfast.
“I want to tell her I’m a male entertainer, but I really want to get to know each other and see how we go,” Michael’s voice narrated as an ominous man with a snake hanging around his neck lurked in the background, symbolising a sign of things to come.
Then came the confession – and hoo boy, did it take him a long time to get that one out.

They didn’t upload the full reaction in one easy clip (boo), but you can watch the rest here at the 47:48 mark.
Scarlett certainly looks confused and betrayed about the whole thing – although her first reaction was to laugh in his face, which was quite satisfying.
“I would never be seen dead in a strip club. I wouldn’t be around those people because it’s not the environment I’m comfortable in.

“I’m a bit disappointed, because that’s a job you can do when you’re single… where does this relationship fit into your life?”
While she insisted that she was a “fighter” who wasn’t going to give up on the relationship, and didn’t want to judge him, everything came to a head when they started to clash about other relationship dramas like not wanting to relocate for each other, and that Scarlett likes to travel and Michael doesn’t.
In what was a twist worthy of M. Night Shyamalan, Michael decided to propose that they should just be friends, even after all that drama. Scarlett went on to say, “I think you’re probably the fakest person I’ve ever met in my entire life.”
Ouch. Tomorrow, it looks like all the couples are having a big dinner party to flaunt in each other’s faces how well they’re doing, so who knows what’ll happen.
Hopefully our mates will sort it out soon, but also maybe not, because Michael really is proving himself to be a right old tool. At least they’re not in Deb‘s position – another contestant on the show who was totally devastated that she didn’t have a gluten-free orange cake.
