Morgan Spurlock‘s last film was the incredibly sweet ode to geekdom, Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope, and for his next project Mansome Spurlock embarks an exploration of a similarly idiosyncratic sub-culture: bearded men. From Spurlock’s own mustache to John Waters‘ iconic pencil mo’, competitive beard-growers and the hirsute and leisurely groomed gentlemen a la Zack Galifianakis, comes an exploration of the identity of the modern man and how grooming habits shape the sense of self. Executive Producers Will Arnett, Jason Bateman weigh in on the politics of the male beauty routine as well as appearances by Paul Rudd, Judd Apatow, pro wrestling’s Shawn Daviari and a bunch of others.
