Watch: Aaron Paul, Toni Collette Star In Adaptation Of Nick Hornby’s ‘A Long Way Down’

Based on the best-selling novel that I always toyed with reading but sadly never did because, well, Harry Potter, below is the first trailer for the filmic adaptation of thinly-veiled screenwriter Nick Hornby’s novel A Long Way Down – a heartwarming, black romantic comedy that turns the failed simultaneous suicide attempts of four people into a poignant tale of redemption.
Directed by French filmmaker Pascal Chaumeil, A Long Way Down boasts a cast of characters including a failed musician played by Aaron Paul; a single mother, Toni Collette; a failed husband, father and TV personality, Pierce Brosnan; and a teen with a serious case of sass mouth, Imogen Poots. Rosamund Pike (who is also appearing this year in David Fincher’s Gone Girl adaptation) and Sam Neill also feature in the latest adaptation of Hornby’s work, previous attempts at which have included High Fidelity, Fever Pitch and About A Boy.
A Long Way Down premieres at the Berlin Film Festival next month and is slated for a March release date in the UK. You can expect it here soon after, no doubt.
