The new series of Underbelly – The Golden Mile, that follows the rise of King Cross entrepreneur John Ibrahim, premiered on Sunday night attracting more than two million viewers.
Apart from giving the Nine Network a massive ratings boost, the show has also given a boost to the confidence of the real stars of the Golden Mile:
Kings Cross prostitutes/sex workers have reportedly been “empowered” by the show’s focus on their work and working environment, working the strip with even more chutzpah and pizazz than usual.

The first episode didn’t feature as many breasts as expected, but it did have a scene that, for one Pedestrian staff member, was: “the first time I’ve ever loled during a “blow” job scene whilst sitting next to my mum.”
