Tywin Lannister, Will Graham Cast In Sam Worthington’s “Deadline Gallipoli” Miniseries

In casting news which should delight the fans of the bloodiest two shows on television – NBC’s Hannibal and HBO’s Game Of ThronesFoxtel has today named some familiar players to the cast of its original four-part miniseries, Deadline Gallipoli.

British actors Hugh Dancy (Hannibal’s Will Graham) and Charles Dance (Game Of Thrones’ Tywin Lannister) join an impressive Australian ensemble cast including Sam Worthington (Avatar, Lara Bingle’s Instagram feed), Rachel Griffiths (Six Feet Under, Brothers & Sisters), Bryan Brown (Beautiful Kate, Australia) and Ewen Leslie (Sleeping Beauty, Jewboy).

The series follows the events of Gallipoli from the point of view of four war correspondents, Charles Bean, Ellis Ashmead-Bartlett, Phillip Schuler and Keith Murdoch and started filming today in South Australia.
“This is a fresh take on the Gallipoli story, with these four journalists fighting the upper echelons of the military to get the truth out and stop the carnage,” Worthington said in a statement.  “I’m honoured to bring such an important story to audiences, in Australia and around the world.”
LA-based Australian director Michael Rymer (American Horror Story, Hannibal, Battlestar Galactica) will direct the series from a script penned by Jacquelin Perske (The Secret Life Of Us, Love My Way), Shaun Grant (Snowtown), Stuart Beattie (Pirates of the Caribbean, Collateral) and Cate Shortland (Somersault, Lore).
Deadline Gallipoli will air sometime next year on Foxtel’s showcase channel.
