Trailer: Pedro Almodóvar Flies High In “I’m So Excited”

A Pointer Sisters LP, clairvoyant handjobs at 32,000 feet, mescaline cocktails and Penélope Cruz driving a forklift are but four of the contrabands you’ll find stowed away in the overhead compartment of the farcical first trailer for I’m So Excited, Spanish auteur Pedro Almódovar’s follow-up to 2011’s cosmetically darker thriller, The Skin I Live In.

All the hallmarks of Almódovar’s distinctive canon are there, from the camp sensibilities of its premise (a psychic predicts an in-flight disaster through the pilot’s crotches) and its 60s red-and-blue aesthetic, to the use of recurring muses Lola Dueñas, Cruz and Antonio Banderas in lead and minor roles, as the psychic and lowly baggage handlers respectively.
Needless to say, [insert film’s title].
