This Trailer For The Next-Gen Version of ‘GTA V’ Looks Like Your Happy Place

Rockstar
made all of the money last year when its blockbuster game Grand Theft Auto V came out. Not only was it the fastest video game in history to gross $1 billion, it also set records for the the highest revenue generated by a single entertainment product in 24 hours

Remember how hard it was to get a copy on launch day and how much you wish you’d pre-ordered the damn thing? No? Maybe that was just me.
Anyway, Rockstar are now planning to make even more money by releasing a prettied-up version of the game on the new generation of consoles.

A comparison trailer, released yesterday, shows how much better the game will look with the PS4‘s fancy hardware, as opposed to your crummy old PS3

Look at those rolling whitecaps. Look how that goddamn ocean water glistens in the sun. And what about those hazy mountain vistas? Look at how those motherfuckers just sprawl for days and days. Look at those beautiful nighttime cityscapes, and look at fucking Trevor. How much more sociopathic will he seem when he’s curb-stomping meth heads and racing ATVs on the PS4’s hardware?

Used to be you couldn’t see this kind of stunning natural beauty without looking at a Windows ’98 wallpaper. Oh how things have changed.

The new, beefed-up version of the game will be out in the third quarter of 2014, on PS4, XBox One and PC.
