It’s been two long years since the second season of The Crown hit our screens, so we’re basically begging for any sort of royal TV drama at this point. So obviously, I lost my fucking mind when the first pics of Princess Diana and Prince Charles surfaced today.
Honestly, I care more about The Crown than I do about the real royal family. After two long years, I’m a little upset that we’re getting a season 4 sneak peek when we still haven’t seen season 3. But hey, I’ll take what I can get.
The Crown actors Emma Corrin and Josh O’Connor were photographed filming the fourth season in Spain over the weekend, according to Marie Claire. Corrin and O’Connor, who play Diana and Charles respectively, were reenacting the famous Uluru visit on the 1983 Australian royal tour. Apparently it’s cheaper to film in Spain than it is to fly the whole way to Australia.
Whoever is in charge of makeup and wardrobe for The Crown deserves a raise because the khaki suit and perfectly styled bangs in the photos are Charles and Diana to a T.

We won’t get to see Corrin as Diana until season 4, when she makes her post-drama school debut. But until then we’ll get our first taste of the Charles and Camilla romance in season 3.
The 23-year-old recent graduate has been a long-time fan of the show, so she’s understandably stoked to play arguably the most famous royal of all time.
“I have been glued to the show and to think I’m now joining this incredibly talented acting family is surreal,” she said.
“Princess Diana was an icon and her effect on the world remains profound and inspiring. To explore her through Peter Morgan’s writing is the most exceptional opportunity and I will strive to do her justice.”
The Charles and Diana story is easily the most anticipated chapter of The Crown, but we’ll have to wait another season before Lady Di makes her first appearance.
Mark your calendars because The Crown Season 3 hits screens on November 17. Until then, you’ll just have to re-watch Season 1 and 2 and lose your mind over how perfect Claire Foy is all over again.Image: Splashnews / Shutterstock
