Remember how they were remaking Jumanji? With The Rock? Yeah, well, there’s a trailer for that now – and it looks like… a blockbuster, that’s for sure.
Basically, Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle has almost entirely ditched the concept of the original Robin Williams vehicle – the Jumanji board game is now a dusty video game in a school basement, and the players are schoolkids sucked into it, finding themselves in new bodies (Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan).
It looks really, really stupid, but possibly quite enjoyable. Possibly.
As long as it contains unrestrained hippo violence, I’m in. Hopefully monkeys, too.
