If the words “Bebop” and “Rocksteady” are more to you than just subcategories of pop music you’ll be psyched about the news that the Michael Bay-produced Ninja Turtles movie is going to be released on December 25 in 2013, a fitting date for the greatest Christmas gift ever.
Don’t get weird about the fact Michael “Transformers” Bay is the driving force behind this project because a concept like teenage mutant ninja turtles in well beyond fucking up with poor plotting and overblown special effects. In fact, with Jonathan Liebesman of Wrath of the Titans in the director’s chair and a screenplay by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec (who wrote the excellent Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol) things are looking very promising.
Also promising? The possibility of Vanilla Ice returning for a soundtrack appearance! Yazz once sang “The Only Way Is Up” and that is exactly how I’m feeling about this movie.
