Stranger Things is a show set in the 80s, which is impossible to miss due to the sheer volume of everyone’s hair and alarming height of their waistbands.
The set decorators and props team have done a bang-up job painstakingly recreating the era, which has every fan that is old enough to remember the 80s *raises hand* feeling all warm and fuzzy with totally rad nostalgic feels.
Of course, since Twitter is the Official International Headquarters of Whinging, one cheeky viewer decided to start “calling out” the Netflix hit by starting a complaint thread of how all the retro references are very, very wrong.

It quickly became very clear that the user, Vladstone, was taking the mickey completely.

Well, it became clear to the majority of people. But some poor unsuspecting trolls didn’t realise they were, in fact, being trolled.

Yes, it appears some very defensive Stranger Things fans thought this guy really had a problem with the way Will Byers was peeing in that scene.
But old mate Vladstone had some supporters, too, who also decided to jump on the 80s nostalgia bandwagon.

The best part of Stranger Things 2 so far is how accurately they nailed the terrible basketball scenes in 80s movies

Stranger Things is so inaccurate, NO ONE in the 80s talked like this! pic.twitter.com/8xgSsXkGHA

I was a child in the 80s and it was less 80s than Stranger Things

But I think we can all relate to this one:
As an 80s kid, “Stranger Things” brings back so many memories, especially how I used to eat Eggos alone in the woods.

OMG SAME.
