‘Star Wars’ Ep 8 Director Slips Cheeky Peek At Iconic Crawl For ‘Last Jedi’

Days after the announcement of the official title for ‘Star Wars’ Episode VIII – it’s ‘The Last Jedi’, y’all – the director has given us all a little sneak peek of him adding the crawl into the edit.
HOW FRIGGIN EXCITING IS THAT!
Rian Johnson posted a black and white image to Instagram of editing happening in a studio, with a screen to the left showing us the beginning of the crawl, featuring the new title.
The caption reads:
“Felt so good to drop this into the cut this morning.”
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK!

Felt so good to drop this into the cut this morning.

Goddamn, we’re excited.
Now, that just leaves us with a whole 11 months to ponder the title: Does ‘Last’ mean as in ‘the last apple left in the bowl’, or does it mean as in previous – ‘last Friday I got way too drunk’? Is ‘Jedi’ singular or plural? It could be either.
Keep in mind, the crawl at the start of ‘The Force Awakens’ stated pretty dang clearly that Luke Skywalker was the last remaining Jedi to exist:
HELP US OBI-WAN KENOBI!
