Doc Ock Is Back In The (Official) Spider-Man 3 Trailer & My Spidey Senses Are Fkn Tingling

Spider-Man

MULTIVERSE, MULTIVERSE, MULTIVERSE!!! That’s right, the (official) teaser trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home has finally dropped, just about a day after someone full-on leaked it the masses.

Tom Holland is back, baby! In film numero trois, our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is coping with the fact that everyone knows who he is now. Cast your minds back to the last flick and you’ll remember how Jake Gyllenhaal‘s Mysterio revealed Spider-Man’s identity to the whole world… and framed him.

So not only is he feeling a wee bit exposed, he also has the feds on his back. So what does Peter Parker do? He visits Doctor Strange, played by the one and only Sherlock – I mean, Benedict Cumberbatch.

Peter wants Doctor Strange to cast a spell, turning back time to when nobody knew who he was. It sounds harmless enough, right? WRONG.

The spell goes very wrong, triggering the multiverse.

Have at it.

You guys, that’s Alfred Molina as Doc Ock again!!! I could cry, he hasn’t aged a day. ALSO, was that the Green Goblin’s laugh I heard? That was Willem Dafoe, right? RIGHT? I need to watch this trailer at least three more times for everything to sink in, tell ya what.

Multiverse aside, the wonderful Zendaya will return as MJ, alongside Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May. Jon Favreau‘s in the trailer for about one second, too.

Spider-Man: No Way Home hits cinemas, December 17. Fingers and toes crossed we’re out of lockdown by then, so we can enjoy this flick on the big screen.

On a final note: after having watched this trailer and yesterday’s leaked trailer, I can confirm the leak was indeed real. It wasn’t a fake trailer. So whoever did it – well, I hope it’s worth Marvel and Sony’s combined wrath.

Godspeed.
