Some Of Yr Fave Musos Are Throwing Their Support Behind MMAD Day & Here’s How You Can Chip In

Let’s be real, it’s really difficult to be young right now. With a noted rise of children with anxiety, the importance of acknowledging mental health early grows more crucial. Once a year, every year since 2006, Musicians Making A Difference Day has been raising awareness for young Aussies in crisis through the power of music.

On Friday October 14, Musicians Making A Difference (MMAD) is once again using the power of music and community to reach and uplift young people facing adversity.

MMAD has been on the frontline supporting vulnerable Aussies for two decades now through creative mentoring, community outreach, a music soup kitchen, juvenile justice rehabilitation, mentoring programs, and heaps of other well-being initiatives. Through these programs, the charity has reached millions both online and in person and delivered creative support that’s helped transform young lives through music.

Some absolutely huge stars have come out for MMAD Day such as Yungblud, Jessia, Ryan Tedder from One Republic, Lewis Capaldi and more who’ll be sharing their own song dedications across the day in support of MMAD.

Keen to get involved? Here’s how!

The MMAD Day theme is ‘This Song Is For You’, and is all about connecting with each other through music. By dedicating a song to someone in need with the hashtag #ThisSongIsForYou @mmadaustralia, you’ll be helping raise awareness for MMAD and connecting those in need with the charity. MMAD is encouraging people to make a post to hype up a mate and send them some positive vibes alongside the local and global stars to boost the movement.

There will also be a MMAD Day takeover on iHeart Radio & MTV so expect to hear some of these tunes on the day, as well as MMAD Day workplace events and live music interviews hosted by Danny Clayton on Instagram live @mmadaustralia.

MMAD has been incredibly important in helping young people find their place in the world. MMAD encourages other young people to go on and become the Musicians Making A Difference themselves to inspire others to reach out for support.
