The success of The Hunger Games means that we now have a buttload of dystopian, young adult film franchises to deal with. Last year’s Divergent, starring magical forest nymph Shailene Woodley and Titanic survivor Kate Winslet, was one of the better ones, so this means that a sequel is coming our way very soon.
This trailer for Insurgent will run ahead of the Super Bowl on Monday in the U.S., but as with every Super Bowl commercial, you can see it on the internet days before. The whole thing looks very Matrix, from the slow-mo to the wires attached to Woodley’s Tris character, to the fact that she’s referred to as ‘the one’.
The film is out in March 19 in Australia.
