Fans Think Selena Gomez Sent A Message To Old Friend Demi Lovato Via Her T-Shirt

After news of Demi Lovato‘s apparent heroin overdose went viral yesterday, loads of celebs and fans have taken to social media to send their love and support to the singer.

Among the many, many celebrities to wish their friend well were the Jonas Brothers, Ariana Grande, Lili Reinhart and Hilary Duff but Lovato’s old friend and former Disney co-star Selena Gomez has stayed silent on the matter.

However, after seeing pics of Gomez stepping out a day after the alleged incident, fans are convinced that the singer is sending a subtle message to her pal via her t-shirt as she has been known to do.

Sel stepped out for breakfast with friends in Los Angeles wearing a top with the words ‘KEEP THE FAITH’ on the back.

Selena was wearing a cardigan for part of her jaunt then as she was leaving, she removed her cardigan to reveal the sacred words which lead people to believe that this was her way of sending strength to her childhood friend.

A source close to the ‘Bad Liar’ singer claimed that she is an emotional wreck after hearing about what happened to her mate, telling E! News:

“When Selena found out the news about Demi, she was very upset and emotional.”

The insider adds that while the two actresses “haven’t been close friends in a while now,” they will always share a “special bond” and “still have love for one another.”

The Hotel Transylvania star has reached out to Demi’s family privately. The source continued:

“Selena has reached out to Demi’s family members to share her love and prayers, and she is really distraught about her health. She hates that Demi has been suffering.”

This isn’t the first time that the Spring Breakers star has sent a message via t-shirt. Earlier this month after her ex Justin Bieber got engaged to Hailey Baldwin and people started to wonder how Selena felt, she stepped out wearing a top that had the words ‘ONLY THE STRONG SURVIVE’ emblazoned on it.

Last year, she donned a ‘WE ARE ALL DREAMERS’ sleeveless top during a Coach photoshoot in support of the children under the DACA act.

And just weeks ago as the separation of children from their parents started to go down in the U.S., Sel was spotted wearing a ‘CHOOSE EMPATHY’ sweater which fans noted was an obvious message to the leaders of the country who were making heartless decisions.

The sighting comes just after Sel’s mother Mandy Teefey posted a photo of the two young Disney stars and wrote:

“This was exactly 10 yrs ago at S, Sweet 16. @ddlovato we love you. The world is a better place because of these infectious smiles. My heart hurts.”
