Since Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin became engaged in the Bahamas, the question that’s been on everyone’s lips is: How the heck is Selena Gomez?
As news of the couple’s engagement went viral, Sel was spotted livin’ it up at sea with her pals.
Her friend Theresa Mingus shared the following footage of the singer kicking back on a stylin’ yacht in New York City which gave the impression that she doesn’t give one single fuck about her ex-boyfriend’s news.

However, this went down before the engagement was 3000 per cent confirmed via her ex’s long, gushy and V. religious Instagram post yesterday, so Selenators (myself included) have been genuinely curious as to how the ‘Wolves’ singer feels about the whole thing.
Now, Sel’s back on land and was just spotted on a shopping spree in NYC with mates. The 25-year-old was all smiles as she hopped into a van, her entourage in tow.

Try as they might, the gossip mongers of TMZ were unable to get Sel to fess up to her feelings about the Biebs’ union, but the clever peeps over at Cosmopolitan noticed that she may have ~subtly~ given us an answer via her t-shirt.
If you look closely, the pocket of Gomez’s top reads the words: ‘ONLY THE STRONG SURVIVE’, which could be her way of saying that she doesn’t reckon JB and Hailz’s relationship is strong enough to survive (ouch!) or it could be her letting people know that she’s strong enough to get through this drama.

I’m sure a lot of you are reading this thinking I’m some kind of nut reading waaaaay too far into a simple wardrobe choice but legit, no one, and I do mean no one knows Sel like me. I have been a fan since her Disney Channel days, I stood by her in some questionable times throughout her music career, my heart went through the ringer as she and Justin broke up a million times and I cheered her on when she rose from the ashes post-rehab.
My point is, I can tell you that this is not the first time she’s sent a message via t-shirt.
Last year, she donned a ‘WE ARE ALL DREAMERS’ sleeveless top during a Coach photoshoot in support of the children under the DACA act.
And just weeks ago as the separation of children from their parents started to go down in the U.S., Sel was spotted wearing a ‘CHOOSE EMPATHY’ sweater which fans noted was an obvious message to the leaders of the country who were making heartless decisions.

In conclusion, the girl knows exactly what she’s doing by wearing the ‘ONLY THE STRONG SURVIVE’ tee at this very moment.
It was a subtle message to let us inquisitive fans know that she’s doing A-OK… that, or she reckons Justin and Hailey will be over by Christmas.
