Anna Kendrick of Pitch Perfect and Lena Dunham of constant internet skirmishes about whether Lena Dunham is the voice of a generation or an overrated hack have made a movie together. It’s called Happy Christmas, but spoiler alert, the people in the new trailer don’t actually look all that happy.
Kendrick, who usually plays hyper-organised, Type A lunatics, goes in the opposite direction here, and portrays a sloppy, hard-partying 20-something who brings chaos into the lives of those around her. Dunham plays her best friend, while Melanie Lynskey and director Joe Swanberg co-star.
The film will make its Australian debut at the Sydney Film Festival on June 7th.
