I regret to inform you that Sam Smith and Brandon Flynn won’t be gracing your social media feeds with cute couple-y snaps anymore as they’ve reportedly called it quits.
Smith has gone through his Instagram and deleted said cute couple-y snaps, confirming that the sad, sad rumours are true.
An insider close to the situation told Page Six that the pair were very in love for a while until their busy careers got the better of them.
“Sam and Brandon had a real whirlwind romance. They really fell for each other. But they are both so busy with their careers and unfortunately things just haven’t worked out. Sam is obviously devastated. This is the most significant relationship he has ever had. Thankfully he is on tour across the US at the moment which has been a welcome distraction.”
They started dating back in November, shortly before Smith dropped his second album The Thrill Of It All.
The 13 Reasons Why star spent last weekend partying at New York Pride while the singer was up the coast in Boston ahead of his concert on Tuesday evening.

The split comes as quite a shock to die-hard shippers such as myself as the pair have been ticking off all of the relationship milestones lately.
Earlier in the year, Brandon introduced the star to his parents and just last month, Sam invited Brandon to visit his native UK where they enjoyed dates at Alton Towers and to the theatre to watch Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Back in January, Sam said of their relationship:
“I’m in a relationship right now and for the first time, I think I deserve to be happy.
“I’m actually asking myself if I’m going to be writing some happy love songs soon.”
While I’m absolutely devastated that these too have gone and proven that love is a lie, I’m hoping those “happy love songs” still see the light of day!
