Rupert Grint Has Finally Joined Instagram To Introduce Us Muggles To The Newest Weasley

Rupert Grint Baby

Rupert Grint has finally joined Instagram, and his debut post is bloody brilliant. 10 points to you if read that in his voice.

The Harry Potter star has used his premiere post on the social media platform to introduce the world to his wee bub, Wednesday G. Grint.

He also acknowledged his very late arrival to Instagram, but hey, he hasn’t really missed out on much.

“Hey Instagram… only 10 years late, but here I am,” Grint captioned the adorable piccie.

“Grint on the Gram! Here to introduce you all to Wednesday G. Grint.”

Wednesday!!!

In the six hours the post has been up, Grint has already copped a cool 1.3 million followers and counting.

Harry Potter costar, Tom Felton, commented on the post, writing: “Welcome Weasley, it’s about time. Love to Wednesday xx.”

That simple comment amassed over 100,000 likes, because of course it did.

Also, Grint’s Instagram profile picture is of himself and Dame Maggie Smith!!!

Grint and his partner, Georgia Groome, welcomed Wednesday back in May, with a representative for the couple confirming the news in a statement to the press.

“Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are delighted to confirm the birth of their baby girl,” the rep said.

“We would please ask that you respect their privacy at this very special time.”

Grint, best known for his role as Ronald Weasley from the Harry Potter franchise, and Groome, beloved for her role as Georgia Nicolson from the iconic Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging film, have been together for close to a decade.

Grint most recently appeared in the Apple TV+ series Servant, a twisty thriller number from M. Night Shyamalan.

The series follows Dorothy (Lauren Ambrose) and Sean (Toby Kebbell), a couple in Philadelphia, who hire Leanne (Nell Tiger Free) to look after their baby son, Jericho, who is actually a… doll.

Grint stars as Sean’s (concerned) mate Julian.

It looks… delightful.

Now we just need Daniel Radcliffe to make an Instagram and all would truly be well.

Fun fact: A fan account dedicated to Radcliffe has over three million followers. Hefty.
