Finally it seems there’s a little bit of good news coming your way, with reports that Rupert Grint is expecting his first child with his long-term girlfriend, actress Georgia Groome.
There were rumours yesterday that the couple, who have been together since 2011, were expecting their first child. A representative for the pair has since confirmed this, saying:
“Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are excited to announce they are expecting a baby and would please ask for privacy at this time.”
Groome is known for her role in the 2008 film Angus, Thongs, And Perfect Snogging while Grint most recently appeared in the Apple TV+ series Servant.
Rupert Grint spoke about his desire to start a family in a 2018 interview, and speculated at some possible Harry Potter-themed names for his future child, saying:
“I’m just going to go with the flow, keep playing interesting characters and see what happens. I’d like to settle down and have kids soon. If I had a son, would I call him Ron? It’s quite a good name, but probably not. And Grint’s a tough name to pair a one-syllable first name with.“
