RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under Finally Has A Premiere Date On Stan & It’s Sooner Than U Think

RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under

Kiwis, kangaroos and emus of all sorts, we finally have a premiere date for Stan Original’s RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under, and it looks like the series is coming wayyyy sooner than anyone expected.

It feels like only yesterday that we were introduced to the cast of ten stunning queens (three Kiwi and seven Australian) that are going to be strutting their stuff on the runway in front of judges RuPaul, Michelle Visage and Rhys Nicholson.

I’m excited, you’re excited, and even folks from all across the world are excited to see what the Aussie queens have to offer on this massive platform. And snatch game?? Be still my gay, beating heart.

But when does it all begin? Well, on Saturday May 1 you’ll be able to catch the premiere episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under on Stan. Yep, you read that right, there are only three weeks between you and a whole new season of Drag Race. This is truly the best news.

You can watch the official announcement trailer right here! Buckle up!

Just in case you need a refresher, there will be eight episodes in Drag Race Down Under, much like there was for the first season of the UK spinoff.

This means that there will be no shenanigans like double saves or double eliminations, just some straight-up ruthless competition where someone leaves each week.

The ten queens who will be competing to become Down Under’s first drag superstar are Art Simone (Geelong), Coco Jumbo (Sydney), Maxi Shield (Sydney), Anita Wigl’it (Auckland), Scarlet Adams (Perth), Etcetera Etcetera (Sydney), Jojo Zaho (Newcastle), Kita Mean (Auckland), Karen From Finance (Melbourne) and Elektra Shock (Auckland).

You can take a peek at the queens’ entrance looks in the cast reveal trailer right here.

But hey, if that isn’t enough to keep you satisfied until May 1, you can have a gander at all of the queens out of drag, or watch the she-larious introductory Q&A that they all gathered to film.

If you need me I’m going to be marking a big cross on May 1st. Nobody is allowed to say anything to me, for I am devoting the day to this amazing series.
