Can you imagine ever denying Rihanna entry anywhere? I can’t, but that’s exactly what a bouncer at a New York watering hole did in what is a stunning example of instant bad publicity. I can see it now – “haha, you’re the bar that turned away Rihanna and her boyfriend A$AP Rocky. HaHA, FOOLS.”
This all went down at Barcade in New York this week, when Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were refused entry by the bouncer working there.

Tag yourself, I’m A$AP Rocky – famous in his own right – pointing at Rihanna saying, “That’s Rihanna.”
The artist is 33 years old, she has been famous for 18 years, and almost one hundred million people follow her on Instagram.
Anyone who has a smartphone or knows someone who has a smartphone can Google her face, age, eye colour, how many tattoos she has (21 known tats according to a fan site), favourite colour – anything, really to prove who she is.
But that wasn’t good enough for Mr Bouncer – not even the paparazzi aggressively taking pictures of the couple could sway him.
And I get it! As many people have pointed out, the bar could have potentially lost its liquor license if it didn’t card everyone upon entry.
Despite the kerfuffle, however, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were eventually allowed into Barcade (probably because this is Rihanna we’re talking about) and they were snapped hanging out by fellow patrons (because this is Rihanna we’re talking about).
All was well.
The bouncer in question claimed he didn’t know who the artist was, which could be… true… I guess. But I like to think that he did know who Rihanna was and was simply punishing her for making us wait so long for R9.
It has been five years, after all, and we are still waiting for that album.
to all the bouncers, waiters, whatever. don’t let rihanna in, tell her to turn around and go to the studio.
sincerely – the world.

Barcade aside, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky recently made headlines after the latter declared the former the “love of my life.”
In his May cover story for GQ, the rapper was asked what it was like to be in a relationship.
“So much better,” Rocky replied. “So much better when you got the One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones.”
If that isn’t sweet enough for you, there’s more.
“I think when you know, you know. She’s the One.”
