Yes, you did read that correctly. Rebel Wilson is linking up with Channel 7 to bring you Pooch Perfect, a TV show about dog styling. Did I initially misread that as ‘Pooh Perfect’? Yes. Did it take me writing this entire yarn to connect the dots to Pitch Perfect. Yes. Jesus.
Turns out Wilson is actually a huge dog show nut and used to be a junior dog handler back in the day. The more you know. The [Pick Your Favourite Rebel Wilson Flick] star will host the series which is set to premiere sometime in 2020.
“My childhood was full of weekend adventures at dog shows all around Australia and my family had a business selling pet products out of a caravan,” she said in a presser.
Oh, and Wilson’s “technically” allergic to dogs but, uh, it’s fine!!!
I guess the news is out! So stoked to be joining Ch 7 for this super fun show! #PoochPerfect https://t.co/P6IVGBOQk4

Anyway, Pooch Perfect will introduce viewers to ten professional dog stylists from around the country who’ll compete in a series of themed challenges. I can already see myself watching this with a glass of wine on a Wednesday evening.
The winning dog stylist, decided by the industry’s best of the best, will take home a sizeable 100,000 buckeroos in prize money. Not behd.
Also, Wilson’s locked in to host Amazon Prime’s first-ever Australian-produced original series called LOL: Last One Laughing. Pretty much, ten leading Aussie comedians battle it out to see who can make each other laugh first. And then the ultimate winner cops $100,000 and, I presume, a larger social media presence. And so on and so forth.
You can also catch Wilson in Taika Waititi‘s upcoming satire Jojo Rabbit, the one about a young German boy and his imaginary mate Hitler. Yes, Hitler. Waititi plays Hitler.
It co-stars Roman Griffin Davis, Thomasin McKenzie, Alfie Allen, Sam Rockwell, and Scarlett Johansson.
Jojo Rabbit hits Aussie cinemas December 26.
