Pitch Perfect 2 is not out even out in cinemas until May 7, but if Rebel Wilson is to be believed – and frankly, she’s never given us any reason to doubt her – then another movie in the series is underway.
Per reports in Vulture, Wilson confirmed the existence of Pitch Perfect 3 during a recent L.A. Times interview, saying that she has signed on for it, although she is unsure about her co-stars like Anna Kendrick.

Financially, this makes total sense, as the original Pitch Perfect was a big box office success, pulling in US $113 million internationally on a budget of just US $17 million.
Creatively … sure, why not? If Hollywood can support seven movies (and counting) in the Fast And The Furious franchise, then it can do one or two more about a cappella and sisterhood.
If this leads to a Pitch Perfect 7 situation where the New New Barden Bellas are performing Carly Rae Jepsen–Nine Inch Nails mashups while leaping between skyscrapers, we’d still probably take that.
