Pedestrian’s Weekly Art Round Up

Here’s the wrap on art events showing around you this week.

Who MIKE BENNETT
What ‘People, Places, Spaces’ is a solo exhibition from the Sydney artist and curator, with works inspired by those people, places and spaces that fill our daily existence and the humorous ills of modern day life. This collection of paintings, drawings and found object installations has something that we can all relate to. Not like those cryptic art wankers who vomit on a pile of sawdust and wonder why we don’t ‘get it’. On ya Mike!
When Opens tonight and runs til July 20.
Where Nine Lives Gallery – 694A Ann Street, Fortitude Valley QLD

Who TOMMY WATSON
What Only one of the greatest living aboriginal artists in the country people. He has only produced around 150 major works – epic, colourful, grand paintings that are as valuable as they are beautiful. If you have a handy 90 grand lying around the chateau you should pick one up, otherwise get to this special solo exhibition to give yourself an incredible visual treat.
