Orange is the New Black, the oldest of old guard Netflix series, is set to come to an end this year, and ahead of the end of the prison sentence the streaming gods have blessed unto thee a taste of the last meal: A trailer for the groundbreaking series’ seventh, and final, season.
The series stands as the one that firmly put Netflix on the map as an original content powerhouse, breaking ground not only in its portrayal of marginalised characters, but in the way the industry viewed Netflix as a whole.
The final season, which is set for release just one day shy of a full year after last year’s season six, the inmates of Litchfield come to terms with “the fact that prison has changed them forever,” including Piper‘s readjustment to life outside of jail, Taystee and Cindy‘s precarious friendship, and lord knows what else.
