Nicole Kidman‘s appearance on Jimmy Fallon last night to promote “Paddington” took a turn for the excruciating as Kidman brought up the unfortunately fleeting non-fling between herself and Tonight Show host Fallon about ten years ago. Condolences, Jimmy dude, you blew it.
For those well-versed in the Larrry David school of Cringe, the following 9 minutes is pure Curb Your Enthusiasm-worthy delight. Fallon begins recounting the last time they met—an ill-fated first date that could have spawned the truly awful celebrity power couple name, Jicole or Nimmy, but alas, no—in which Fallon wondered what brie was, served Chinese takeaway leftovers and really fucked up a chance with our Nicole in her goddamn prime.
Nicole retells, “I went there and you were in a baseball cap. And you wouldn’t talk. You wouldn’t say anything. You were like, hey. And I was like, okay, hmm. And then you put a video game on or something and I was like, this is so bad.” She even goes on to say, “I went, maybe he’s gay.” Playing video games with Jimmy Fallon doesn’t sound like a cool time, Nicole? Each to their own, mate.
