Alright guys, the fifth TV spot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has just dropped, and it’s looking like the Stormtroopers have done some serious levelling-up since their early years:
Everybody knows these guys couldn’t hit shit, so it makes perfect sense for the next franchise installment to beef them up into the role of ‘formidable enemy’ instead of ‘budget ironman’.
At least, we *think* it might be a First Order Riot Control Stormtrooper. It looks the part. The Star Wars merch site describes them as follows: “Armed with specialised weapons, the First Order’s Riot Control Stormtroopers are trained to subdue crowds in the most ruthlessly efficient manner possible.”
Sounds about right.
