Netflix Heard Your Anger & Is Bringing ‘Sense8’ Back For A 2-Hour Finale

When Netflix committed the cardinal, unforgivable sin of cancelling Sense8, a TV show some people enjoyed, the response was probably a bit more than the company anticipated.

But look, there’s dollars to be made in fan outrage of that nature.  A two-hour finale episode is in the works for the canceled series, giving fans pissed off by the fact they didn’t get closure the ending they craved. Hell yeah.
The news was shared by creator Lana Wachowski, who confessed that she fell into a “deep depression” after the show was cancelled. Her letter was posted by the official Netflix account.

They also shared a short tribute video to the show alongside it.

Netflix clearly wanted to keep Sense8 going originally, but were constrained by economic factors.

“They did a beautiful show” and “the audience was very passionate, but not large enough to support the economics of something that big, even on our platform,” said chief content officer Ted Sarandos at the time of the cancellation.
So there’s proof. If something you love gets cancelled, you gotta yell about it until Netflix scoops up the opportunity and makes a 2-hour special.
