Netflix’s New Show, ‘Nailed It’ Is All About Celebrating Kitchen Fk Ups

Ah Netflix, the gift that keeps on giving. While Jessica Jones is spreading like wildfire across our TVs, there’s another humble original series that has quickly stolen the hearts of Netflix users across the country and it only popped up this morning. It’s called Nailed It and if you read the title in a really sarcastic voice then you have the entire premise of the show. So if you ever needed to feel better about yourself, this is the show for you.

It’s like Masterchef except everyone’s genuinely an amateur cook which is amazing ‘cos now we can all actually relate to kitchen fails.

Not gonna lie, I thought it was going to be tacky when it popped up on the TV but you get addicted to it pretty quick. Why? Because some of the food creations are soooo bad.

So here’s how it works. “Nailed It” is an actual hashtag trending on Pinterest for cooking and life fails in all its forms. Then Netflix decided to turn it into a competition show where shitty cooks try and recreate masterpiece creations. Whichever contestant comes closest wins a very nice $10,000. If there’s ever an Aussie version, sign me up.

The show is hosted by comedian Nicole Byer, master pastry chef Jacques Torres and a weekly guest host.  Oh, and the judges can really give a fine roasting to the poor contestants. But it’s all just good fun ‘cos the contestants are no professional chefs and they know it. They even take the shit outta their own cakes during the judging process.

I know you’re probably thinking, “They can’t be that bad” but no, no, they’re pretty bloody bad.

Just look at THIS.

That ain’t no sneaky Reynold. A+ for effort though.

You can check out the trailer below.

There is one negative thing though…there’s only six episodes and they’re 30 minutes each so time to practice your self-control, if you have any.

Also please enjoy this…princess cake?

Grab some food and get bingein’.
