‘My Kitchen Rules’ Contestant Breaks Neck

Harry Curtis, above left, one half of the affable-looking Victorian duo competing in the new season of the reality show that subsidises Pete Evans’ penchant for clean eating activated super foodsMy Kitchen Rules, has broken two vertebrae in his neck while diving headfirst from a bollard at Sandringham Beach in Melbourne on Tuesday.
According to a Channel 7 spokesman, Curtis, 25, “was transferred to the Alfred Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition, [and where] he will undergo surgery” later today. Though his spinal cord luckily remains undamaged, it’s understood that he shattered two vertebrae at the top of his neck, requiring “a three hour operation… to fuse the two discs together” – that according to his Mum. And this:
“He says it was a silly thing to do but he saw the kids doing it.” :/

Curtis, who will walk again, and his mate Christo Gibson will appear in the fifth season of the inexplicably popular show airing from Monday January 27th, filming for which has already been completed.
