Here Are The Freshest Cuts From This Year’s Mullet Festival In Kurri Kurri

Mullet Festival

Australia’s second annual mullet festival, aka Mulleftest, was held yesterday at the Chelmsford Hotel in Kurri Kurri, and drew more than 160 hopefuls to the small mining town, all of whom were hoping to snatch some glory with the freshest cut.

There were some truly dazzling entrants on display, all of them rocking the look that will straight-up never go out of style, but the coveted award for Best Mullet went to Michelle “Darlzy” Gearin, who reacted with “shock and elation” as beer was poured over her head to celebrate her victory.

Gearin later said that the mullet is a great “dickhead filter”, and hopes that her win will inspire women to do whatever they want with their hair.

This was the first year that the competition was open to women as well as men, and they really cleaned up, with Elye Kiem, seen below, taking out the prize for Best Ranga.

Participant Jordan Habachi also showed off a killer business out front, party out back look:

Below are some more pictures from the hallowed event, so go ahead and take in some style inspiration for your next cut:
