Alejandro G. Iñárritu has wasted precisely no time putting together a follow-up to his Oscar winning Birdman, with his newest film The Revenant due for world-wide release some time early next year.
The first trailer for the film was released today, and it’s immediately clear that star Leonardo DiCaprio, whose beard game is off the charts, is hoping for an Oscar with every bristle on his extremely hirsute chin.
The film, based on a true story, is about an explorer who is separated from his buds following a bear attack, and has to claw his way back to survival during a harsh winter, (Australia, you know what that’s like).
The film also reunites Leo with his Inception co-star Tom Hardy. Behold the beardiness:
