Alright, look. Before we begin here we need to make a couple of observations explicitly clear.
It is baffling – BAFFLING – as to how, who, or why Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce was allowed to simply walk into an on-air phone interview with Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O on KIIS FM this morning. This would be completely befuddling in general. Given the events of the past couple of days surrounding Johnny Depp‘s dogs, it ranks as completely fucking insane. Whoever in the Liberal Party media department gave the OK for Barnaby to appear on the show with the shock jocks this morning might as well have just dressed him up in a suit of hams and pushed him into the Rancor pit instead.
Secondly, Kyle Sandilands is an antagonistic bastard at the best of times, but in this interview ranks as little more than a rude, wholly unprofessional jerk who, on any other radio station from any other on-air personality, would’ve received severe reprimand and potentially even termination for conduct towards a senior publicly elected official like this. Dickhead behaviour to call out dickhead behaviour is never sound strategy. If you try to fight fire with fire the only thing you wind up with is more fire, after all.
But with all that said…
